[rtl] Interior Minister Yassin al-Yasiri on Wednesday instructed the directorates of citizenship and civil status to speed up the inclusion of citizens in the unified card.[/rtl]

[rtl]"The minister stressed the need to alleviate the suffering of citizens and expedite the completion of transactions," the interior ministry said in a statement.[/rtl]

[rtl]"The citizen should be treated with the utmost respect and appreciation, the expansion of electronic windows and the completion of the visa and passport project via the Internet, and provide all the logistical needs to improve the level of service for the citizen," he said.[/rtl]

[rtl]For his part, Director General of Civil Status, Passports and Residence Major General Nashaat Ibrahim Al-Khafaji, announced the issuance of 12 million, 615 thousand and 172 unified cards so far, noting that "the coming days will witness the opening of a number of departments in various provinces to include all citizens with the card."[/rtl]
