The General Authority of Customs announced on Sunday the registration of the border toll of Trebil on a daily basis of one and a half billion dinars.

In a statement received by Al-Iktissad News, the authority said that "the Tripoli border customs center in Anbar province recorded a daily revenue of about one and a half billion dinars on Saturday in a series of achievements achieved by customs centers."

She added that "the high volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Jordan after the facilities and decisions taken by the State encouraged traders and importers to increase imports, which contributed to the high revenues achieved by the State Treasury."

The agency demanded that "great attention be paid to border ports and the provision of customs work requirements that are lacking in these ports, despite the huge sums they generate for the public budget which was supposed to contribute to the development of its infrastructure and the focus of the department responsible for building it to seek the needs of the departments operating there."
