Baghdad

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi discussed on Monday the increase of Iraqi natural gas production capacity during his meeting with Minister of Oil Thamer Ghadhban.

"The meeting discussed the need to develop and improve the oil sector and increase Iraq's natural gas production capacity because of its great economic importance to the state," Halaboussi's office said in a statement received by Al-Akhbar.

He added that "it was stressed the operation of manpower from Iraqi cadres in the oil sectors and training, and increase the ports of oil exports to Iraq."
