The Fath Alliance said Iraq needed the UN special mission in Iraq and that its presence helped to internationalize many of the problems in Iraq.

"The international missions have a big stakeholder role in many issues, such as disputed areas and displaced people, and the problems in Iraq need international expertise," Alliance member Nassim Abdullah told AAH.

"The existence of these organizations is important for the Iraqi government and gives us a picture that Iraq is following the international experience in dealing with internal issues, especially since Iraq pursued after 2003 a approach based on harmony and peace."

He continued, "One of the essentials of the presence of international organizations, is to know the world what is going on in Iraq, there are a lot of files focused on the United Nations and we hope to move in the right direction."
