The minister of industry, mining and trade, Reza Rahmani, announced that Iran has for the first time reached the first place in the list of exporters to Iraq, calling for maintaining this position by taking advantage of all possibilities because competitors such as Turkey and China are following Iran by a small margin.

"The position of Kermanshah geographically provides the border with export opportunities to the same as more than half of the export to Iraq during the past year was through the ports of the border province, according to Fars News Agency.

The minister of industry, mining and trade stressed the need to pay attention to the export of Iraq during this year more seriously and added that the export of neighboring countries should be a priority, announcing the opening of the stage of development of Zaker's carpet factory in Kermanshah equipped with the latest technology world.

The five-piece Zackers carpet factory and its five production lines each year are produced by 600,000 square meters and exported to countries bordering the Persian Gulf, Germany and other countries.

Kermanshah is in western Iran and has a 371-kilometer border with Iraq. More than half of Iran's exports to Iraq are through its border ports.
