A member of the Anbar Provincial Council and Chairman of the Energy Committee, Awad al-Fahdawi, on Saturday, received the receipt of nine billion dinars of imports of the port of Trebil between Iraq and Jordan, for the year 2018.

"The central government allocated 60 percent of the imports of the border crossings between Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia to Anbar, and nine billion dinars were transferred from the imports of Trebil port," Fahdawi told Basnews.

He added that «the amounts received from the port imports will be implemented by rehabilitation projects for services in different areas of the province, despite the low, because of the lack of opening the port of Alwaleed because of the deterioration of the security situation in Syria».

Al-Fahdawi pointed out that "the port of Arar is still closed and has not been opened except for the Hajj season, which requires full and continuous opening."
