The economic expert, Majid al-Suri, on Wednesday, the previous governments cover up the corruption of the Ministry of Oil, noting that the parliament did not take its role in the control and accounting of the corrupt.

He said in a statement to the "news", that "there is fierce resistance from influential parties against anyone who opens the files of corruption as they strike their interests," noting that "there are a lot of question marks on the silence of the Ministry of Oil about the company Qaywan."

He added that "previous governments were covering up the corruption of the Ministry of Oil," noting that "the Prime Minister must strike with an iron fist to stop the thefts that affect the money of the Iraqi people."

He drew the picture, that "those involved in corruption are known and responsible parties to account and stop wasting billions."
