The leader of the National Coalition Iyad Allawi on Saturday, the Kurdistan Region as "the key to the stability of Iraq."

This came during a meeting with Kusrat Rasul Ali, Deputy Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, on Saturday, in the city of Arbil, Dr. Iyad Allawi, head of the National Coalition.

A statement issued by the office of Ali that the two sides "stressed the need to enter the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government a new stage, and put differences aside and have a common understanding and new files."

On the other side of the meeting, the two sides discussed the current situation in the Kurdistan Region and relations between the political parties, and stressed the need to normalize relations between the political parties and meet the political parties to end the problems.

In this regard, the statement quoted Ali as saying that "the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, as always with the unity of the word and the position between the political parties and now also is the holder of this idea and wants to become a real partnership basis for governance in the Kurdistan Region."

For his part, Allawi wished to calm the situation in the Kurdistan region and end the problems, and said that "the Kurdistan region key to the stability of Iraq, and Iraq the key to stability in the region."
