The head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Izzat Tawfiq Jaafar, on Monday, retrieved and prevented the waste of more than trillion and half trillion dinars during the last year 2018, noting that the value of idle projects observed amounted to about 36 trillion dinars.

Jafar said during the press conference held to announce the annual report of the Commission for the year 2018, that "the sum of public funds recovered or issued judicial rulings refunded, which prevented and stopped waste, which was returned to the treasury account totaling (1.669.085.047.718) trillion dinars Iraqi".

He added that "the number of projects delayed by the Commission amounted to (2736) projects, amounted to (16,455,290,348,823) Iraqi dinars and (16,227,930,298) billion US dollars."

Jafar pointed out that "the number of dilapidated projects that opened criminal cases amounted to (644) projects, amounted to (5,486,303,401,793) trillions of Iraqi dinars and (6,546,142,288) billion dollars."
