Arab Central Bank Governors Participate in Vientic Forum Thursday

The Forum will be attended by a large number of central bankers from the Arab world, with the participation of Rasheed Al Maraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Financial Technology Forum (FITEC) for the Middle East and Africa, to be held in Manama on February 21 under the auspices of the Central Bank of Bahrain. 
Vientic, the largest financial technology conference in the region hosted by ABC and the Arab Financial Services Company, will be held under the theme of Banking after Financial Confusion. An unprecedented gathering of speakers, innovators and entrepreneurs will highlight the new avenues offered by the sector's financial technology revolution And how the new generation of technologies, such as artificial intelligence and e-banking, will contribute to the extraordinary empowerment of individuals and communities.
The forum will also be attended by officials from central banks from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Sultanate of Oman and Egypt. 
The forum will feature leading discussions on future trends in the financial industry run by international experts and leaders, making it a landmark event and helping to identify ways of adapting and growing in the new digital landscape. It will also discuss a wide range of issues including: the future of banking, the potential impact of artificial intelligence, open banking, mass outsourcing, and financial inclusion.
Commenting on this year's forum, Mr. Suwail Al-Waari, Executive Vice President of ABC Bank Group and Chairman of the Arab Financial Services Company, said: "Banks and financial institutions across the region are facing considerable confusion as a result of technological development. Such a change would have to be adopted not frightened. Such a development will revolutionize the way we do business. More importantly, it will empower a wider segment of people to access financial services in the region and will be a powerful force for real financial inclusion, which we will discuss during this forum.
