Mike Pines calls on European countries to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal 1024

US Secretary of State accused the European allies of Washington of attempts to penetrate sanctions against Tehran, and called on them to withdraw from Iran's nuclear agreement.

"Unfortunately some of our prominent European partners were almost uncooperative," Mike Pines told a conference in Warsaw on Thursday. "They have led efforts to create mechanisms to break our sanctions."

In May, US President Donald Trump announced his country's withdrawal from Iran's nuclear deal and sanctions against Tehran.

Pines said the EU's plan to facilitate trade with Iran was "an attempt to break US sanctions against the deadly Iranian regime."

The US Secretary of State described the actions as "a non-judgmental move that would strengthen Iran, weaken the EU, and create more distance between Europe and the United States."
