The operations of completing the Kermanshah-Piston-Humil line have begun. The Iranian Minister of Roads confirmed that this highway constitutes an important piece in the project that links Iran, Iraq and Syria to facilitate transit between them.
"The length of the project is 141 kilometers, and the investment is 1.5 trillion Tuman, and the private sector is 70 percent," Fars news agency reported.
He said the country needs the participation of the private sector in the construction projects, and said: This fast line constitutes an important piece of the project linking the holy shrines between Iran, Iraq and Syria to facilitate transit, hoping to accomplish this piece faster with the help of the private sector and the banks' Toman of facilities.
The Minister of Roads also announced that the issue of establishing a public railway service in Kermanshah governorate remains strong and that it is in the stages of ratification and will be announced soon.
The Syrian government and the Iranian government signed earlier a comprehensive memorandum of a number of agreements between the two countries in the fields of energy and the banking system in addition to trade, finance, industry and culture, combating money laundering and financing of terrorism, transport and economy.
