Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stresses the need to coordinate with local governments to determine priorities for the reconstruction of liberated areas

This came during the chairmanship of a meeting of the Committee of Diwan 82 for the year 2018 competent coordination between the concerned and executive, and the United Nations Development Program.

The Secretary-General said that setting priorities is linked to coordination between us and the provinces concerned, noting that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), may provide $ 700 million for projects in liberated areas.

He added that the program manages the funds coming from the donor countries, which pledged to Iraq during the Kuwait International Conference for Reconstruction, pointing out that the suspension of projects in the liberated areas was the result of poor donor countries, and Iraq after 15/1 to communicate with the international team to start reconstruction projects.

The meeting witnessed a discussion on intersections in projects with the executive bodies, and the possibility of forming a committee for coordination between international bodies and the executive bodies.
