The Ministry of Communications revealed on Saturday the reason for the decline in Internet service in the country, as indicated the formation of technical committees, legal and engineering experts and specialists in the information in the ministry to review the contracts concluded with companies.

"The real reasons that led to the decline in the quality and weakness of the Internet service during the last few days are that the private sector companies that are marketing the Internet service to subscribers are working to connect 50 subscribers per megabyte," Sabah al-Sabah, the senior agent for technical affairs in the ministry, Which led to a clear weakness in the service available, which was enjoying high speed before this period. "

He added that "the Ministry is following through the General Company for Communications and Informatics, the mechanism of application of companies marketed to the contracts with the Ministry in this regard, to avoid cases of failure of some companies to improve the service of the Internet," noting that "was the formation of technical committees and legal and engineering experts and specialists in information In the Ministry to review the contracts between companies and the ministry, and accounting companies that violate the policy of T. Vieq service subscribers aiming to be for each megabyte and one common one that contributes to market high-quality service is far from weak and cutting. "

Al-Bayati said that his ministry "is working with all its efforts to increase the capacity to provide the Internet service to Iraq through border ports in coordination with several countries, so that the Internet service of high quality comparable to the services available to the countries of the region in speed and quality," noting that "when The service was weakened for technical reasons or as a result of acts of terrorism or cutting Cable or other, the ministry is working to address the special nutrient that is cut through its technical and engineering staff within a few hours.

He explained that "the weakness of the current service will be handled by settling legal problems with companies marketing the service," and expressed the hope that "the service is witnessing improvement in quality and speed soon, especially that the country has cables marine link with all neighboring countries and there are ground stations running the work of those cables.

After 2003, the country witnessed the entry of companies that worked on distributing Internet service in all governorates. However, the level of service provided often doubted the citizens' bad quality, especially as they paid high monthly subscriptions. In return, companies did not improve their services.
