The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed on Sunday the submission of a proposal to the Parliament to fight corruption and limit the limits of time to resolve the cases established in the courts and the Integrity Commission, pointing to the Committee's intention to open all files of corruption since the previous parliamentary sessions .

"The proposal was submitted to the parliamentary legal committee and awaits its role in the legislation," said committee member Khalid al-Geshmi. "The proposal is the first of its kind in setting time limits to resolve corruption cases ."

He added that "the proposal holds accountable the regulatory bodies that did not commit to settle claims and files within the limits set within the proposal ."

He pointed out that "dozens of files have not been resolved for many years because of bureaucracy and nepotism," stressing that his committee "will work on the inventory of all files within the Committee and sorted out to know the files that have been resolved and files that have not been resolved ."
