Basra Governor Asaad 
al-Eidani received a delegation representing the coalition of two companies (Hydrosi and Simic), the governor of Basra, Asad al-Eidani , on Thursday with two Chinese companies, the possibility of establishing desalination projects and dams in the province. "The meeting discussed with the possibility of entering these companies to work in Basra and the implementation of a number of projects for the treatment and desalination of water and the establishment of dams and power generation. 
He added that 'the local government welcomed the visit of the delegation, and invited him to organize a field visit to a number of sites to be implemented projects in the presence of a number of general managers and technicians in the departments concerned'.
