[ltr]US Deputy Secretary of State Sandra Odekirk on Friday warned all Iranian oil buyers that sanctions against Tehran would be tightened and they should abandon Iranian oil as soon as possible.
"Our approach to Iran is to exert maximum pressure on them," said Odkirk. "The sanctions that were renewed on November 5 should only be considered a beginning,[/ltr]
[ltr]"Our goal is to make Iranian oil exports fall to zero and all importers must diversify their supplies and stay away from Iran and its oil as soon as possible." [/ltr]
