(Baghdad: al-Furat News) Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi discussed with Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim, a number of files, most notably the representation of Iraq in foreign forums.

A statement issued by his office, received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "Halabousi discussed during his meeting in his office in Baghdad, on Thursday, the wise minister a number of files, most notably the representation of Iraq in foreign forums, and the need to open up to the international community.

He urged Halabousi during the meeting to "play a greater role in the file of reconstruction of Iraq, and improve the work of embassies, and maintain contact with the Iraqi communities and care for students Scholarships."

"The meeting also reviewed the prospects of joint cooperation between the legislative and executive bodies to ensure support for the external mobility of Iraq and to meet the challenges ahead."
