Abdul-Mahdi to the World Bank: We need loans for production, not consumption

Information / Baghdad
Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi told the World Bank delegation on Thursday that Iraq needs the loans produced and not consumed in order to boost production and economy.
"Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received the Vice President of the World Bank Group for the Middle East and North Africa and his accompanying delegation," the Prime Minister's Information Office said in a statement.
He pointed out that "Abdul-Mahdi stressed that Iraq focuses on investment and provide an environment suitable for him, which will contribute positively to the reconstruction of the country and provide services to citizens, indicating that the dependence should be on productive loans that promote the economy and production and employment and not consumer loans that weigh the budget."
The delegation stressed the continuation of the World Bank to support Iraq and cooperate in productive projects and simplify procedures and help young people to establish and register projects and develop their capabilities in the success. End 25 n
