BAGHDAD - The
Council of Ministers, the head of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, on Monday authorized the signing of amendments to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) agreement, based on the provisions of Article (80 / VI) of the Constitution.
The council decided, according to a statement received by Mawazine News, that it had sent a draft law to ratify the amendments made after signing it to the House of Representatives based on the provisions of Articles (61 / I and 80 / II) of the Constitution.
He pointed out that "the Council's decision came in line with the changes in the work of the World Intellectual Property Organization as a member of Iraq, and for the purpose of ratification of the amendments made in 1999 and 2003 to the Convention establishing the organization, signed in Stockholm in 1967.
