The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers met with the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic in Iraq Mr. Ali Adib Al-Habhab, stressing the government's keenness to promote economic cooperation between the two countries.

He called on the Lebanese international companies to open up to the investment opportunities announced by Iraq, especially industrial projects to achieve development in the local product and reconstruction projects.

For his part, Al-Habbab said during the meeting that his country looks forward to exerting more efforts to develop economic relations and maximize them to reach the distinguished level of political and social relations. He pointed out the presence of dozens of Lebanese banking and industrial institutions operating in Iraq.
