The Iraqi parliament voted in a session held on Saturday on its permanent committees.

The Board reduced the number of committees from 27 to 21, while one was created to make the total of permanent committees 22.

The Council decided to integrate culture and information with antiquities, the committee of members affairs with civil society, the Commission on Human Rights and martyrs with prisoners, and the work and social affairs with the displaced.

The Council introduced a new committee, Transport and Communications.

The P residency of the Council decided to adjourn the session tonext Monday at 1 pm and to host staff of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Committees and names of their members voted by the House of Representatives as follows:

Security and Defense Committee: Mohammad Salem Al-Ghabban, Adnan Fihan, Mohammad Reza, Kaita Al-Rikabi, Abbas Srout, Khalid Al-Obaidi, Nasser Mohi, Mohammad Nasser, Nayef Al Shammari, Ammar Yousef and Ahmad Al-Asadi.
