Al-Ghadhban: Iraq aims to produce 5 million barrels of oil per day in 2019

Oil Minister Thamer al-Ghadhban said on Wednesday that Iraq aims to increase its oil production capacity to 5 million bpd in 2019.
Al-Ghadhban told Reuters that "Iraq's average daily exports reach about 3.8 million bpd."
"The focus will be on Iraq's fields in the southern regions," he said, adding that he was "close to reaching an agreement with international companies."
"Iraq also aims to increase its export capacity in the long term to 8.5 million barrels in the coming years," Ghadhban said.
The average daily export of oil in Iraq 3.4 million barrels, at a price of 74.912 dollars a barrel, according to the latest report of the marketing company oil «Sumo» for the month of October last.
