Economy News Baghdad

The General Authority of Customs denied on Sunday that it caused the disruption of the Greater Basrah water project by delaying the entry of raw materials for the project.

The agency said in a statement read by "Economy News", "It is surprised by some news agencies reported in the social networking pages about the statements of some officials in the Ministry of Construction and Housing, which accuse the customs centers at the border crossings in Basra, "He said.

It added that "it has introduced in the past days 50 containers for the project of water Basra through the customs center in the northern Umm Qasr," noting that "the Commission had earlier in its customs centers to take measures to contribute to accelerate the entry of the materials of the Basra water project as soon as it reached the customs centers After completing the necessary procedures to be introduced in accordance with the laws and regulations in force. "

"It supports all service, development and investment projects in the country and calls on all ministries and local governments (governors - councils of governorates) to raise the level of coordination with them to overcome the traditional bureaucratic and administrative rings that may hinder the entry of raw materials for large projects."
