NO INTERNET-ANOTHER INFORMATION BLACK-OUT?
The Ministry of Communications announced on Friday that it will stop broadcasting the Internet service two hours a day within ten days starting on Saturday, attributing it to the exams of the second round of intermediate and preparatory stages.
The ministry said in a statement, "The Ministry of Communications for government institutions and citizens to stop the Internet service during the exams for the second round of the intermediate and preparatory stages."
The ministry explained that the period of suspension will be "from 6.30 am to 8.30 am and for two hours, from Saturday September 1, 2018 until Monday, 10 September 2018," noting that this comes "at the request of the Ministry of Education" .
She pointed out that "cutting the service will be for the days of examinations only so it was necessary to mention."
Saturday's second and intermediate exams are scheduled to begin on Saturday and last for 10 days.

Indonesia's currency retreated to its lowest level since the 1998 crisis
31st August, 2018
Currency Indonesia fell compared to their US counterparts at the end of trading on Friday, the lowest recorded level since the 1998 crisis , despite the central bank 's attempts to defend the currency
At the end of the day, the Indonesian rupiah depreciated against the greenback to record a record 14.839 thousand rupees, the lowest level since 1998
Indonesia's currency was the lowest in its history at 16,800 rupees per dollar during the 1997-1998 crisis
The rupee has lost about 8 percent of its value this year to join the sell-off of emerging-market currencies in 2018, which accelerated this week after the loss of the Argentine peso following the lira's volatility
During the day, the yield on Indonesia's 10-year bonds rose to 8.094%, the highest since December 2016
The government of Indonesia unveiled plans to tackle the import jump, which overshadows the lack of supply of the dollar inside the country and contributes to the widening current account deficit
The plans include high tariffs on imports of some consumer goods and a wider use of biodiesel starting next month to cut oil imports
In contrast, Indonesia's annual inflation rate accelerated slightly in August and Indonesia's GDP grew by 5.3% in the second quarter of this year, the fastest pace of growth in nearly four and a half years LINK
