(Reuters) - The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will discuss in December whether producers can compensate for a sudden drop in Iran's oil supplies after US sanctions on Tehran came into effect in November, .

"A sudden drop in Iran's crude exports will have a negative impact on prices and fundamentals in the market," Yasiri said.

He said that Iraq has resumed shipments of crude from the oil fields of Kirkuk to Iran, after a pause for a few days because of logistical issues, adding that Iraq has so far shipped only 500,000 barrels, and hopes to ship a total of one million barrels before the entry into force in November.
