Economy News Baghdad:

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has retreated from his commitment to new US sanctions on Iran, saying his government would stick to the ban on dollar trading in Tehran .

"Our commitment to Iran is not to deal with the dollar and not to abide by US sanctions, " Ebadi was quoted by state television as saying at a news conference .

Abadi said last week that Iraq disagreed with the United States on imposing sanctions on Iran but would abide by it to protect its interests, drawing criticism from Iraqi politicians allied to Iran and the Islamic Republic.
