Economy News Baghdad:

Saudi Goody, a member of the commercial and industrial group Basmah, has announced that it will launch the Goody brand in the Iraqi market, making it the first Saudi food brand to operate in Iraq since 1990 .

The Saudi company, based in Jeddah, said it would not only sell its products in Iraq but would also allocate products to suit Iraqi consumer tastes. The company will cooperate with Iraqi National Company, which specializes in marketing and distributing food .

"We are delighted to be the first Saudi food brand to start operations in Iraq within the framework of the new trade partnership between the two brotherly countries," said Khalid Al-Tamairk, Chief Executive Officer, Basmah Group .

The two companies signed a partnership agreement in the second quarter of 2018 under the title «one family and we gather the best trip». The signing was attended by the leaders of the two companies and representatives of the Saudi Export Development Authority and the media.
