"Delightful BonniB" by blueray 3/31/18
Ah, BonniB. I have enjoyed your willingness to speak up, be heard & comment here. Such energy !
As inherently flawed creatures, we all risk foot - in - mouth disease one time or another. I've mistaken toenails cuts for cold sores myself more often than I'd like to admit. Take ' judgement,' for instance. How would any of us survive without judgement ? Simply put, you can't. Which car did you "judge" to be the best one ? Which of thousands of religions did you "judge" to be the correct one, if any ? Which head of lettuce did you "judge" to be the best one ? The word itself poorly coveys the mechanism by which we guess our way through life. Some criteria is fact, some is truth, some is evidence, some is hearsay, much of it is intangibles like ' gut instinct ' or a ' feeling.' Such is our built in survival skills. The word judgement tends to convey an ill deserved harshness, an authoritarian pomposity, the finality of settlement that says ' this matter is done.' While often quoted, mostly as a defense, ' Judge not, lest ye be judged ' has no real world application, & is promulgated by the most edited text in human history. It's an oft used Vatican trick to make you feel guilty & sinful about what is inherent in your very nature. It's unlikely you would be here to read this if you had not " judged " many thousands of things correctly. Is not blaming Joe for being ' judgemental ' that which you are yourself guilty, judgement ? Not all of us can convey our opinions eloquently, as the nature of language itself is imperfect, as Joe's treatise tends to indicate. He has a right to his opinion, which basically says he doesn't really trust Yosef. Many here agree with him. His many unrealized claims help fuel the distrust directed at him.
You said " We DO have to carry the burden of our ancestors. " Why ? Should it be our obligation to make amends for the past ? Are we to be encumbered with the sins of the Fathers ? If I'm part Russian, do I bear the blame for the 30 million people slaughtered by Stalin ? If so, who gets to decide how far back that corrective action & punishment is meted out ? Would going back to slap Eve for taking the apple fix anything ? That's a bit impractical, don't you think ? Isn't it our job to act morally in the present, right wrongs that exist when we are able ? It's unproductive & distracting to put energy into fixing things that happened before we were born. Fixating on the past is a Cabal distraction mechanism, a non solution to waste energy, often adhered to by those seeking comfort of the known rather than the uncomfortable uncertainty of the future. Remembering the past & learning it's lessons IS the obligation we have, no argument there.
Yosef has correctly pointed out the evils perpetrated by the " White " race. We get it. Most of us ' evil ' white people wholeheartedly want that behavior to end. However, his continuous iteration smacks more of a personal vendetta ( whining ) than a balanced reporting of bad behavior by virtue of his omission of evils perpetrated by many other " races." Doesn't that fit the popular definition of racism ? Like it or not, by volunteering to become a spokesman, he set himself up to be publicly examined with more scrutiny than the average Joe. He would quickly be forgiven for his juvenile transgressions if he acted more the statesman & less the finger pointer. I'm still wondering what happened to that Hawaiian affectation he proffered at the onset of his debut. And still waiting for just one correct prediction.
For the record, I DIDN'T DO IT. I WASN'T EVEN BORN ! I've been fighting those evil white people for 25 years, & as a result, I'm homeless, flat broke, have no car or property, have been evicted twice, once at gunpoint, no retirement or income. My reign as an evil white person has been thoroughly unsuccessful. Totally unprofitable. No regrets. And I don't give a rat's ass what genes or race I am or what you are. I will judge you by your BEHAVIOR, PERIOD. Race case closed here.
