UNHCR denies distribution of voter cards in IDP camps

The Euphrates -
The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) denied on Thursday that it was circulating in the media about the distribution by UNHCR of voter cards in IDP camps.
The UNHCR said in a statement that the news circulated by some media about UNHCR distributing voter cards in IDP camps was totally untrue.
She confirmed that she will hold a wide and intensive media campaign to educate about the delivery and distribution of cards as soon as they arrive in accordance with the timetable set by the distribution mechanisms, calling on all media to be accurate in transmitting the information and honesty in publishing it through its official sources.
It is scheduled to hold legislative and local elections in all Iraqi provinces on May 12 next.
