Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Wednesday that the House of Representatives prepared an emergency law to run the affairs of the state during the postponement of the elections, indicating that the government rejected it.

The newspaper quoted political sources as saying that 'the House of Representatives prepared a draft emergency law for the conduct of state affairs during the postponement of the impotence', indicating that 'the law proposes to prolong the life of parliament and government for six months.'

The sources, who asked not to be named, said that 'this law is expected to be challenged by the Federal Court, because the constitution sets the mandate of Parliament four years, and does not respond any indication of the possibility of extension', pointing out that 'the government rejected this law'.
