Abadi heads to Paris to attend climate summit

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi headed Monday to the French capital Paris to attend the climate summit. World leaders are expected to meet on the sidelines of the summit. "He went to the French capital Paris at the head of a government delegation to attend the Paris climate summit on climate and its impact on the economic and environmental sectors," Abbadi's office said in a statement received by Al-Mada. The statement added that the prime minister "will present Iraq's vision in this area and the document he presented so as not to affect the economic and environmental sectors that have a direct impact on the lives of citizens and the food and water security of Iraq and the sectors of water, agriculture, health, energy and other sectors." The statement pointed out that Abadi "will be held on the sidelines of the summit a number of meetings with officials of participating countries."
