The Integrity Commission noted that "the court, after reviewing the statement of the legal representative of the Central Bank of Iraq, who did not request a complaint against the accused; because of payment of the amount of 43 billion dinars by the National Bank, found that such transfers have no commercial or legal purpose known, The defendant committed an act that applies to the provisions of article 3 / b of the law against money laundering No. 93 of 2004, and decided to sentence him to a simple imprisonment for six months with a suspension of execution and a fine of 100 million dinars.

She added that "the Commission's conviction of the decision of the ruling initiated the appeal on the basis of the powers granted by the law of the executive body No. 30 of 2011, demanding a tightening of the penalty."
