Francis Albert

Come on kids, get a grip, take a breath. Of course the new Treasury Secretary is going to talk with the IMF, that's his job.

And IMO the only thing he's going to be talking to her about regarding currency is paving the way for the tariffs his boss is about to impose.

This idea that a bunch of Countries are going to revalue their currencies, either up or down to "level the playing field", is just..well, ridiculous. They are all pegged to the Dollar and will be for some time to come.

I predict what we will see is a formula that will "balance" things out using two metrics....currency value in relation to the Dollar and tariffs. This will "encourage" Counties like Viet Nam to raise their rates as an example.

This is not why Iraq is doing it however, as they will be selling their oil for Dollars. Bretton Woods is still in play for those without nukes.
