Twilight News / High Commission of the United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR) called on Saturday for the Iraqi government to the need to secure the residential areas and the role before starting the process of returning displaced families from the city of Fallujah, which has recently been freed from the grip of the organization Daash terrorist, warning of a repeat scenario of the city of Ramadi in a rush to return and made sure it is absent from the city of explosives.

Since the start of military operations on May 22 / May to regain control of the city from Daash, provided waves of people of Fallujah and surrounding areas. People gather in small dozens of camps where conditions are very harsh, and where many families are forced to participate in tents already overcrowded. While stranded ways with others in the desert or a harbor to the mosques and schools.

The Commission said in a statement responded to the Twilight News, it insists on the need that is being planned for the return process carefully and be executed on the basis of international humanitarian principles for the return of be voluntary and non-discriminatory, safe and sustainable.

The statement added that it is necessary, at the time understood the desire of families to return as soon as possible and confront many of the harsh conditions in the camps for displaced people, to ensure that the conditions are ripe to take place to return in safety and in a sustainable manner.

However, the statement that he must cleanse Fallujah of explosives and improvised explosive -alguenabl Nasvh- as happened in Ramadi. It is noteworthy that families returned to gray too early resulting in many casualties due to improvised explosive devices.

The statement added that it is important to make the displaced families from Fallujah able to make a choice that makes them feel safe to return and are not obliged to take any decision not want. There has been a high degree of control under the rule Daash faced citizens of Fallujah strict provisions and regulations in terms of behavior and daily moves.

The statement pointed out, "we have learned about the invitation of the local government in Anbar for employees in the education sector to resume their work as of July 12 or abandon their salaries," while the Commission expressed its concern about "forcing people to return before they feel that a return to their homes will be safe for them and their families. "

The statement continued that "in a similar way, the authorities asked for volunteers to participate in the clean up the city before the return of citizens in the month of August," explaining that "The Commission is also concerned about the safety of volunteers due to the risk of explosives in the liberated areas and that have not been cleared yet fully"
