That's been a line of thought about this so-called"RV" that I have never understood, Iraq will just "RV" and solve their money problems? We see it all the time from not only the gurus but from Dinar holders who seem to think that Iraq can somehow just declare themselves more money by "RVing"? That makes about as much sense as saying your car will go faster if you move the speedometer needle to a bigger number! Iraq's "pegged currency" money is worth what they have in their reserves +/- a cushion and the sum total of all the Dinar in circulation can not exceed that reserve amount! In order to raise the value they must remove currency from circulation, if they removed half of their currency they could then double the exchange rate, or they could leave the currency circulation alone and "simply" double the reserves to accomplish the same exchange rate increase (good luck with that one).


In any case that line of thought about Iraq "RVing" because they need more money just doesn't make sense at all, they need money because they haven't got enough (Duhh!) and if they havn't got enough they can't just get more by declaring it to be so!
