The Kurds are dependent on oil sales and that revenue from receivables is delivered by Baghdad. Baghdad has failed to pay the Kurd region for 1 full year and in the past 7 months they have made payments ranging from 400 million dinar to 550 million dinar. The Kurds region government salaries are 900 million USD. That being said; The Kurds have endured 18 months of this BS and now they have over 1.8 million displaced people...And Baghdad has closed it's doors to any Sunni refuges entering. Kurds have been being financed by private sources to meet their obligations. Investors are by the groves with billions of investment dollars waiting on the sidelines. Kurds open their economy then they will not be dependent on Baghdad payments should they decide to stop them ANYTIME AGAIN! The Kurds have their own government, their own Parliament, their own military. They do not need Baghdad! Barzani is the PRESSURE on Baghdad.
