They're trying to take the heat off Maliki and point the finger at defense minister.
Baghdad-Iraq-Presse -26 April: driving a coalition of "state law" led by Iraqi Vice President, Nuri al-Maliki, a campaign organization for the overthrow of the Minister of Defense, Khalid al-Obeidi, and blame for security failures in the Thar Thar area east of the city of Ramadi, Anbar province.
He called for the head of the parliamentary state law, Ali al-Adeeb, defense minister to "appear before the Parliament, and provide an explanation of what happened in the Nazim blather," and urged him to "provide adequate data to the Iraqi people about this incident."
He went on, saying, in a press statement, that "the defense minister to clarify what happened in this battle, and how did the Ministry of Defence with the cries."

In turn, denounced the League of the Righteous (which is close to al-Maliki) "crime carried out by the organization Daash against more than 140 military in the Thar Thar area."
