DC plans to take his three year old hunting? Really? Fishing maybe, for a little while, hiking, sure, camping OK, canoeing, with a life jacket why not? But hunting???

So you get a higher rate based on how you plan to use it?!?! What business is it of the bank what I do with my money?  What if I plan to put it all on black at Ceasers...or buy my body weight in power ball tickets...as long as my money is there for them to use...who cares. They have to offer everyone the same basic rate from my understanding...there will be slight fluctuations between banks but it won't be too much.

He was 'surprised' at how many people were getting one of the who knows how many contract rates.  This would imply that there are some that are opting for the so called international rate that is stuck at $3.58.  And we know from many conference calls that consistently say that if you take the contract rate then you don't sign an NDA.

If so many hundreds of thousands of people have exchanged and a substantial number have not signed an NDA, then why wouldn't we have heard from them?

(I confess that I considered creating a character who would have exchanged without signing an NDA and screwing Tony up.  After all, I exchanged and would be an expert.  But I didn't want to put that much effort into gaming Tony.  Still, it would have been fun to get a whole day's start on him and spin up the dinarians.)

And remember this since Tony has said it over and over.  There is only a 'pool' of contract rates out there available to be taken up by people exchanging.   And since hundreds of thousands of people have already exchanged, so many of them have taken the contract rate.

And this leaves the pool smaller and smaller for you.  You aren't going to get a contract rate because you can't exchange while others can.  And are exchanging.

Just remember.  Tony says exchanges are happening at great rates!  For a LOT of people!

What was your inclination to use for an angle?

I was thinking about going with you don't need to sign an NDA for a mythical mid-contract rate and that there were only going to be another 20,000 exchanges permitted under that rate.  Call it $15 bucks per dinar I guess.  And how banks had armed security to escort you out to your car when you were done exchanging.  Maybe toss in that you are limited to pulling out a thousand bucks the first day.

They will allow you $10,000 per day- Bring a gym bag-

I love it Horizon!  That's a LOT better than the direction I was thinking.  (I was kind of thinking of going along with a story that Tony, for a fee, put in a good word for me and got me in for the exchange.  And thank Tony all over the place for taking time out of his busy schedule and help me out.  What a hero!  Would have caused his email to explode.  Pam would spend weeks trying to calm people down from asking to be put in the queue)

We should keep doing these stories.....  Like TNT members with their bank stories, we could have our cash out stories.  And Tony is the hero in all of them.  Ha, Ha............

First off, and I know you didn’t want me to do this, but THANK YOU TONY for helping me out with the RV!  Folks, I can’t tell you how big of a favor Tony did for me, and I will tell you that I don’t even mind the percentage I paid Tony for his work.  I AM RICH!  

I guess this is kind of a bank story.  Different because I ACTUALLY EXCHANGED!  THANKS TO MY HERO TONY!

They didn’t want me to name the bank but it sounds kind of like Bells Cargo.  I fell to the floor when they CALLED ME to ask me to come in and change my dinar and dong for USD!  Yes, after talking with Tony, my hopes were up that I might get to hear from a bank someday, but this was only three days after Tony said he would pass them my name!  I am still AMAZED.

Don’t worry.  I am not on an NDA.  I couldn’t be because I had to tell Tony how much I walked away from the bank with so I could pay him the percentage for hooking me up.  The good news is that I got $8.44 per dinar and $1.65 for the dong!  Much higher than the ‘international rate’ that you keep hearing about.  Apparently ‘Friends and Family’ are allowed to have higher rates without a contract or an NDA!  Great news!  The banker smiled at me when I asked if those rates were going to be for the public and said, “Just be glad that you are a Friend.”  I guess that means the public is only going to get the international rate when it rolls out on the 14th.   

Yes, Mr. Banker.  I am thankful to be a Friend.  AND THANK YOU AGAIN TONY!  YOU ARE MY HERO!

Unfortunately, the bank (in Kirkland, WA) only let me carry $1000 out the door after my exchange.  My WM said that they have had so many exchangers come through that they can’t legally keep enough cash at the branch to give anyone ten grand.  And he said that the public rollout you won’t be able to cash a single 25,000 dinar note before your appointment.  Too much cash at the branch makes it a tempting target for robbers.  Even though they had plenty of security onhand.  (The armed security folks were very kind to escort me out to my car after the exchange though.  They were big and definitely confident, and made me feel very safe.)

Don’t be surprised if you see security outside banks when you go by them.  I know that I could immediately tell that there were guards at my branch when I drove up.  And having been by some other banks since, I will say that I only saw security at branches for the big 4 banks.  Some branches of the big banks and none of the smaller banks seemed to have security outside.  Just be careful and keep your hands visible when you go around the guarded banks.  They will smile at you if you do.
Again, I am AMAZED at how my life has turned around since I exchanged!  I had a negative balance in my bank account and creditors have served me with a couple of civil lawsuits in the past month.  I was beyond hope that I could provide anything for the twins for this Christmas besides rocks and wood scraps for toys.  My family has been doing poorly as well and none of us knew where the money was going to come from.  (I gifted 25,000 notes to each of my siblings in the past.)  This RV couldn’t have happened at a better time!

AND I HAVE TONY TO THANK!  GOD BLESS YOU TONY!  GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING A POOR INTINERENT JANITOR DURING THIS SEASON OF GIVING!  ENJOY YOUR PIECE OF MY RV.  YOU MORE THAN EARNED IT!  SORRY IF THIS EMBARRASSES YOU BUT YOU ARE DOING THE LORD'S WORK!
