Shammar tribe liberated Rabia area completely from the IS

NB while there seems to be progress against IS on many fronts, I am also aware of a tweet from a trustworthy source in the last day or so stating that IS had advanced to within 10K of Baghdad. I have found nothing to confirm this else where, but I have also seen nothing to deny this. While I do not know this man personally, I know his reputation, and that is of a person who is scrupulously honest and not given to flights of fancy. Given that, I will have to conclude that at least some information is being suppressed.

BAGHDAD / NINA/ An informed source declared on Thersday that the uprising families liberated Rabia area west of Nineveh completely from the control of the IS.

The source said in a press statement that the uprising Shammar tribes liberated the entire Rabia region from the IS organization with the support of Iraqi forces.

The Peshmerga forces announced yesterday for the liberation of most of the regions in Rabia from the control of the IS. / End
