House Speaker Meets With The Commander Of Anbar Operations

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the House of Representatives, Salem al-Jubouri confirmed that achieving stability in Anbar requires the return of displaced families to their homes, stressing the need to spare civilians from any damage as a result of the military operations taking place in some provinces.

Jubouri, during a meeting with the commander of the Anbar Operations Command, Let. Gen. Rashid Fayyih said that "the military operations taking place in Anbar province, have achieved a lot of goals, but they also cause harm and great suffering for the people of that province, which requires paying attention and work to stop it."

Jubouri listened during the meeting to "detail explain to the progress of ongoing security operations in Anbar, expressing his important remarks, particularly with regard to keeping civilians out of harm resulting from those operations and so as to create a suitable ground for cooperation with those forces and allow the return of displaced to their homes in order to achieve stability." / End
