What's your favorite coffee?
I bought a little one cup maker for twice a day pleasure, and can't quite seem to find the brew that tantalizes the taste buds yet...
suggestions anyone?

Re: What's your favorite coffee?
Do you like a light, medium or dark roast? blends? I personally like a dark roast Green Mountain Coffee's Dark Magic roast is my favorite, with Newman's Special Blend a close second but they're only for someone who like a really bold coffee. My son swears by Caribou Coffee blends. My wife like a light to medium blend like Nantucket or Breakfast blends, or Dunkin Donuts regular with a lot of crap in it.

If you have People's Organic by you, get their coffee... it's very good and smooth. I like to have my coffee with some So Delicious coconut milk creamer and a little dab of Irish butter otherwise Dunkin Donut coffee is good and Jamaican Blue Mountain is rich and dark.

Thanks Nadita, I'll pop into Sprouts or Wholefoods and look for some... and your preparation sounds like fun too, I'll try that!! I made Turkish on the stove this morning just for fun, but when I dumped the grounds on the side plate there was no-one here to read them for me!!

If you go to Whole Foods, they have coffee from South America that is so good and smooth. Try to find it by the coffee maker that looks like a carafe with strainer. That is a new way to make coffee.. I almost bought it but didn't because I have Kitchenaid one cup coffee with thermos that works well for me. It's kinda cute and I am wondering if I can do it at home with a strainer and coffee filter and put the cup at the bottom, put the ground coffee and pour boiling water slowly. When they did the demonstration, the coffee tasted so good but it's something that you make and drink right away.. kinda what you are looking for.. one cup at a time

We use a French Press at home, but also have a single cup K-Cup maker for when we are in a hurry or when I am home and want a second cup and don't feel like a lot of fussing.

Re: What's your favorite coffee?
Wow guys I just found a seriously good coffee for my taste. I went on down to the International store on Tropicana and Decatur ( tons of stuff from all overe the world ) and bought a can of " Mehmet Efendi " Turkish coffee.... it's awesome, this I think is my favorite thus far, although I've yet to buy any of the Green Mountain brands or People's Organic you've recommended... I will though... can't see myself missing out on something as good as an almost perfect cuppa jabba eh!??! I'll bring back my findings... but this Turkish is really good, different prep but easy and quick too.... I'm loving this!!

Re: What's your favorite coffee?
One of the disadvantages of living in a rural state like Vermont is that we don't have tons of selection. The closest Trader Joe's or Whole Foods for example, are about 2 hours away and that would be on a weekend when the Burlington traffic is minimal.

I understand it.. there will be fun to go on the weekend I am lucky they are about 20 minutes away from my house. Whole Foods price is quite competitive compares to regular stores and better selections. Plus they have a very good deli and baked goodies

Re: What's your favorite coffee?
We just got both in Burlington this year. In fact we had make a trip to the area this weekend and hit Trader Joe's for a bunch of favorite goodies ... and yea about a case of their Charles Shaw wine ... maybe the best value out there. A lot of $20 and $30 bottles don't score as high as their $4.00 wines.
