6-26-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru American Contractor PM Nuri Maliki turned down the emergency government and will be going with the Unity government just like he told Secretary of State John Kerry. The Iraqi Parliament will convene on Tuesday, 1 July. The Iraqi Parliament has 30 days to name a new Iraq President and then the President has 15 days to name a new Prime Minister. This will go into August before this is all said and done.

For once I agree .... actually once the Parliament convenes, they have to elect a speaker and deputies. Parliament then has up to 30 days to name a President who then has 15 days to ask the largest (majority?) bloc to name a Prime Minister and seat the new government. Then the PM has 30 days to name his cabinet, then everything has to be approved by a majority vote ... so the way I see it we could well be going into mid September before the dust settles.

Not sure how long it will take, Aug. - Sep. seem possible.  No way it will all happen July 1, not a chance.
