It could be a bluff to get the oil agreement done and new goi formed. Clearly, the Kurds are frustrated for whatever the reasons...they are being held back for years.

I think everyone who is invested in the dinar has seen how the Kurdistan region has flourished. They did things right from the beginning back in 2003 setting security in place and building from there. They are years ahead of the rest of Iraq...issues between the central government and Kurdish region have gotten worse of late, not better. Let's hope for all of us this is a bluff and motivation to get some sort of agreement on oil done soon, a new central government formed and the goal...economic transition to a market economy. I don't think the Kurds are going to wait much longer.
