Q -[was there any indication that you saw coming that implicates the buying of these bond is tied the the RV?]
A- I did hear about this a month ago (directly from the source) and yes, they did say it was related. The bond issue tied to value is good...however, Shabibi could have done this 2 years ago.
Q -[Do the Economic Reform laws, tarrif laws being passed/implemented have any bearing on the timing?]
A - I don't think so - unless they are forced to pass a law of some kind so if Maliki keeps stonewalling he'll be breaking the law. [why the delay?] other than Maliki - not sure there is one.
Q -[So if US and Iran is pretty much inking a deal that will be fully known in a few days, what do you think/hear the process will be after they rubber stamp it and there is no further need for a weak dinar?]
A - not sure - but long term that has been one of the main hold-ups. I think the Iran/US deal has an awful lot to do with this...once Iran doesn't need to launder money through the CBI - there is a lot less need for the Dinar to be cheap.
Q - [So in your best educated guess, in relation to the events, activities and other info, how close do you think we are to this finally happening?]
A - tough to say - but there is an extraordinary amount of pressure on Maliki.
Q - [Is there any word of the IMF stepping in and forcing this, or is there anyone that override Maliki and push it thru?]
A - not yet...that I can prove.
Q - [do u think that they can surprise us and do something by december?]
A - easily - very easily
Q - [does 1.17 seem possible as of today?]
A - very.
