BAGHDAD / NINA / The acting governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Abdul Basit Turki discussed with the U.S. Federal Bank the issue of the protection of Iraq's money.

A statement of the Central Bank of Iraq cited that the issue of the Iraqi Central Bank reserves and the Development Fund for Iraq and other technical issues were discussed during the meeting, which came on the sidelines of the spring meetings currently being held in Washington." / End

Here we go. I hope the U.S. told Turki to raise the value of the Dinar or the DFI funds will not be protected...only to scare them of course.

This is an article I said to watch for. The protection of the DFI funds. Next we will see articles asking for extension. Iraq has a long ways to go to get laws passed and need the extension. Sorry for the bad news, but I think we are in for a longer ride than May 22nd!

I hope the answer was no in that meeting so that Iraq will raise the value of the dinar before May 22nd.
