Question for Okie if he is still awake!

"The Iraqi dinar is traded in auction at a fixed rate of 1.170 per dollar." I just saw this in another room...am hoping that is wrong or temporary etc?! etc?!

i just checked the cbi and there has been no auction posted for today sat for sunday there week starts on our sunday so lets have faith it will be done soon thanks procomp1 :cheers:

Is an auction rate different than the RV rate? Yes I am kinda a "newbie" to all this! I just thought the main "rate range" was about $3.00-$8.00 USD ? Though I have seen way less & way more-as in $15.00?!?! No way! and how great is that going to be if our dollar keeps losing value anyways? :(

Catherine, many times they use a decimal instead of a comma when reporting a number in thousands. Nothing unusual. Sorry to disapoint
And yes, the auction rate would show the new rate of the dinar if it changed. If you see the rate go from 1170 to .19 then you know its now valued at $5.26usd per dinar. The lower the auction rate the better
