Vietnam CPI Likely to Stay Low in Jun
Vietnams consumer price index in June is forecast to expand at a as low level as Mays on expectation of possible petrol retail price cut, said the governments General Statistics Office (GSO)
The price of the commodity is likely to stabilize, even sled down in June on high rice reserve, the GSO added.
Vietnams CPI in May came out at low 0.27% as prices of foods and foodstuff services dropped 0.12% and the decision on minimum wage raise for state employee effective from May 1 has been found tiny impacts on the market prices, fading out inflation concerns.
CPI growth rates in second and third quarters are expected to be equal, even lower than that in May, the GSO experts was quoted by the Vietnam News Agency as saying.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung told the 7th meeting of the 12th National Assembly on May 20 that the CPI will be curbed at 8% this year despite possible imported inflation from higher prices of commodities worldwide.
