Got to thinking about all the different types and kinds of candy that I remembered eating, as a kid back in the 50's- Unbelieveable- You peeps have just got to check this out-www.oldtimecandies.com You can purchase every type of candy you could ever think of-And,yes, you can even get 'FIZZIES'!!!!! You can order these from this site- The ONLY candy that is obsolete is the 'MILKSHAKE BAR', I'm sure some of you will remember those, And the 'BUTTERNUT BAR'- The Milkshake bar was one of my childhood favorites, And was made by the Hollywood Candy company that was started back in 1912- What memories these candies will bring you!! Check it out!!!!! Very Happy

I can remember going do to the little country store down the road when I was a child and getting a little bag full of candy for 25 cents. Remember all the candy you could buy for a penny or a nickel?

So true...we can't be serious all the time!!!! We are all friends and just have to have fun!!!!! That's something that makes this site what it is!!!!

Oh my gosh, you guys ... That candy site is so much fun! They have candy I hadn't even thought about in years. Stuff, some great and some yucky, we used to get only in our Halloween bags. Like you, horizon, I remember going to the corner grocery store with a nickel and being able to make a selection of goodies to munch on for hours. Abba zabas, SlowPoke bars, Boston baked beans, those candy necklaces and the wax bottles filled with sweet syrup in all kinds of pretty colors. And then we'd chew on those wax bottles until the flavor was all gone. Kind of gross, but heaven when you're 6 years old. I can't even begin to think how many packages of candy cigarettes we went through, or the bubblegum cigars. Thanks for a delightful stimulation of wonderful childhood memories!

Seb- It all started when I was thinking about why they did not make the 'Milkshake Bar, or the Butternut Bar, Two of the best chocolate bars that were ever made, and just happened to remember the company that made them- So web hopping I went!! Laughing
