Baghdad (AIN) –The Kurdistani Alliance’s MP Mahdi Haji assured that the
call of the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani for holding a
meeting for the blocs was an attempt to support the efforts of the
President Jalal Talabani to ensure success of the National Meeting
through discussing with the leaderships before holding the National
Meeting.”

Haji stated to All Iraq News
Agency (AIN) Tuesday “The invitation is open for all blocs to prepare
the atmosphere for the National Meeting,” noting that “The meetings
called for by Barzani might be single or dual meetings.”

“The political arena witness intensive movements especially after the
return of the Premier Nouri al-Maliki from Iran in addition to the
results of the last meeting for the Iraqi national Alliance which gave
comfort for some blocs in relation to commitment to holding the National
meeting, improving relations with neighboring countries and
implementing pending items of the constitution,” he stressed.

Earlier the President of Kurdistan region Masoud Barzani has called the
political blocs for holding a consultation session in Erbil on May 7th.
